Is
your Christmas season packed with family re-unions, parties, and other
festivities? Perhaps,
you need to remember how Jesus was born. The Bible tells us that Mary and
Joseph went to Bethehem, and that "the time came for her baby to be born.
She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips
of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the
village inn" [Luke 2:6].
Do we have any room for
Jesus this Christmas?
Let's remember that Christmas is about the Christ of Christmas. It is the
season when we remember that Jesus came to this world to save us from the
power and penalty of sin. It is the season when we remember that Jesus came
to die in our place so that we can experience God's abundant life. It is the
season to lift up our hearts and lips in worship God. Let's make room for
Jesus this Christmas!
